V&H Christmas Fair

Christmas is coming and here, at Vintage & Handmade HQ, we are exceedingly excited about the fabulous line up of stall holders for the 7th annual Original Vintage & Handmade Christmas Fair in Chipping Sodbury on the 5th December.

Firmly established as a Christmas favourite, this popular event is always full to bursting with delightful stalls brimming with wonderful ideas for Christmas. Why elbow your way around a busy shopping mall when you could find everything you need amongst our carefully selected vintage dealers, artists & creative designer-makers from the South-West & beyond who will be displaying their wares for your shopping pleasure. Our friendly stallholders will have everything from the perfect vintage party frock to unique gifts for everyone on your Christmas list as well as decorations for the home & tree.

Entrance is just £1.00 (children free) & there will be free Christmassy gifts for the first 50 visitors of the day.

Our popular tearoom will be back with lashings of tea & coffee & scrumptious festive treats served on vintage china by the hard working ladies raising funds for local charitable causes.

The Chipping Sodbury Chamber of Commerce has arranged an overflow car park at Hanson's (it will be signposted) where you can leave your car then hop onto a vintage red Routemaster bus which will transport you to the high street just across the road from the Town Hall. Parking & the bus is free, the local Scouts will be helping out so any donations to them would be much appreciated - we will have a collection bucket at the door.

So, bring along your friends & family (children are warmly welcomed) and join us for a fun day out and an enjoyable start to the 2015 holiday season.

Rangeworthy Summer Vintage Jumble

Next Saturday will be your last chance to bag a bargain at our Rangeworthy Vintage Jumble until November so why not come along to see what you can find?

The Vintage Jumble Sales have become a firm favourite with locals & those from further afield on the lookout for vintage bargains.

so come along & relive the days of the good old village jumble sale.

Teas & delicious homemade cakes will be served by the Rangeworthy WI in aid of our local Air Ambulance Service.

Pretty Nostalgic Meets Vintage & Handmade

Many of our readers & visitors will know all about the fabulous Pretty Nostalgic Magazine & Society. You may remember that they launched at a previous V&H Fair where many vintage lovers snapped up magazines & memberships. No longer just a magazine, Pretty Nostalgic has evolved into a Society of dedicated Nostalgineers - those longing for the simple & charming ways of days gone by. 

The Vintage & Handmade Fairs are proud of our association with PN & we are delighted to announce a fun new collaboration which will launch at the Spring Fair on the 23rd May in Chipping Sodbury.

The Pretty Nostalgic Society will be taking over the stage at this event to bring you all sorts of interesting activities & information.

Just some of the fun to be had on the day....Nicole & friends will run an upcycling activity, using recycled haberdashery to decorate Alice bands and make brooches etc.

There will be a make do and mend exhibition of antique and vintage items which have been mended and repaired or were used to mend and repair.

They will host a crochet creation competition with a theme - everyone who enters will be given a free magazine and a prize will be given to the winner

There will also be crochet and knitting advice and a drop in and learn area.

The stage will be set with tables & chairs so you can sit & try out an activity, chat about vintage & handmade & make new friends.

In addition, the first 50 visitors of the day will be fortunate enough to receive a copy of this wonderul publication to take home & treasure, so do come along & join us & the Nostalgineers for a truly lovely day out.

Jumbley Fun!

It doesn't seem 5 minutes since our first Vintage Jumble of 2015 in Box which was great fun, and the next one is just a week away! This one is in the village hall in Rangeworthy which is dear to us as it was the venue of our very first Vintage & Handmade Fair back in 2008. Here we are, years later & still having fun bringing together wonderful sellers & our lovely customers for a vintage bargain hunter's dream morning!

So pack up your baskets & hurry along to join us next Saturday.
